Nvidia fell after earnings today... why?

By Oliver Rahman Nvidia fell mainly because investors were expecting more. While Nvidia still beat expectations in revenue, investors expected a larger increase in... pretty much everything. Does this mean that Nvidia is no longer a strong stock? Especially after an 8% decrease in price today? I would say no, Nvidia is a long-term game, as well as many other ai companies. Emergency fund: Insurance for your bills

By: Oliver Rahman Did you know that 42% of Americans don't even have $1000 in savings? Yet having a savings/emergency fund is extremely important. The main reason you want to have emergency savings for the next 3-6 months is so you don't have to take on debt while in between jobs/after being laid off. Let's imagine a scenario quickly: A simulation with no emergency funds Imagine you were laid off from your company all of a sudden without severance pay. This doesn't mean bills magically go away, so you start using your credit card to pay for items that you currently can't afford, saying that you will pay it back one day. However, each month that goes by the credit agency charges interest on all the items you bought. This keeps increasing until you find a job again four months later. Once you get your new job you start to pay off your debt, but the 4 months of paying has racked up tons of interest! You can't possibly pay in full every month because you don't m...
